"Terrible...Just terrible"

I have been watching Hollyoaks since I was about 12, got my mum into, defended it from many many people offending it and am now utterly, utterly ashamed i've ever watched it. It used to be brilliant, a young soap with humour subtley intertwined. The storylines have become shockingly bad, aswell as any new characters acting. A recent episode had a second year saying she "remembered freshers" and that being around freshers made her "feel old" how ridiculous is that?! SHE'S A YEAR OLDER THAN THEM. And that's not very supportive to mature students etc. Also, the new geeky guy that reckons he's an alien, who had a lack of parenting in his life, repeat of Elliot much? Also I have always thought the silly little story lines obviously put in to relate to the viewers such as people compeating for jobs etc. are just plain boring. I still watch hollyoaks, purely for me and my mum to have a laugh at how truely terrible it is. .
