Was in Eton Lodge from 1961 remember arriving the The first day at 14 years old told my name was no longer to be Mary I was to be known as Marie given a number and put into the laundry to work I remember the 2 Boyle sisters who came in each day from the out side to operate the Callanders a huge machine with rollers to press the sheets. I hated every day there but have fond memories of some of the girls. I ran away to Ireland after 18 months and looked over my shoulders for 2 years terrified they would find me..
