A review of The Convent Of Notre Dame by Veronica Lake written on Wednesday 13th of November 2019
I remember being here in the 1970s sent there by Nottingham social service and I had to work in the laundry, As I recall we never got paid for that work, Lock in 24/7 bug occasionally allow out for an afternoon. If you behaved, It was nothing like what j was promised before being sent there miles away from my family and the chance of any visit very slim. Things got so bad I risk my life claiming out a 3 storey bathroom window and jumping on to a fire escape, I would love a picture so I could include this into my book I'm written of my time in social care..
