A review of Psychic Truth Society by Anonymous written on Monday 19th of March 2018
Just heard the news that the Psychic Truth Society has closed its doors! What a shame! 70 odd years gone. Memberships have deliberately been allowed to lapse and now the executor and committee are saying its closing due to lack of numbers! I wonder why? Well its partly because people do not feel welcome anymore. mediums are not trained properly and some shouldn't be allowed to work from a rostrum. There is no spirituality left anymore and the Sunday service had gone totally downhill and was dominated by the only medium who offered to give their time. Lets hope the executor will find another appropriate size church as he promised several years ago but don't hold your breath everyone.
Anyway we can spare a thought for all of those kind spiritualists who gave freely of their time and supported the church through thick and thin. Those who have gone many years ago but are still remembered and probably their ashes are buried in the garden! By the way what will happen to those people such as Nellie and John Baxter? Hopefully their families will be notified about the sale of the church and grounds and an agreeable outcome will be found..
