A review of Merseyside Society For Deaf People by FEB written on Monday 10th of October 2016
Complaints investigated by Nugent Care, found faults, advised to issue apologies - none issued. Stage 2 Appeal chaired by DSN, further apologies due - none issued. Complaintst investigated by Ombudsman, advised to issue apology, MSDP refused. Most Organisations admit to their failings and apologise for their mistakes. Copies of outcomes from all 3 levels can be seen. Received a Deaf/Blind Guidance assessment by SENSE now entitled to 34 hours per week :-). Complaints to be made to HCPC. Dont want to sue, but acknowledgement/apology is all I ask for. Oh and the compensation that a previous Chief Exec said he was bringing to the Board. Investigation proved Chief Exec did not do this despite numerous emails stating he would. Make sure you have an advocate to ensure that you are aware of your rights, this is law under the new Care Act 2014. DSN and ELSD are registered with CQC. Can provide evidence to vouch for the above..
